I am Heather Daveno, an American born artisan who has been handcrafting hats for over 20 years. I design my hats one at a time from textiles and found objects salvaged from 'second hand' sources. Working with reclaimed materials allows me to produce limited edition pieces of distinct, durable, wearable art.

August Phoenix, the magnificent and immortal bird that rises from its own ashes to be born anew, is a reference to the reclaimed / recycled nature of my work - new hats from 'second hand' sources, handcrafted to last forever...
