Welcome to The Phoenix Files!

This blog is a collection of papers and how-to articles I have written over the past 25+ years, as well as my travel journals and announcements.  Scholarly works from "The Library" on my old website, are labeled here as "Historica Tractatu."

My travels have had heavy influence on my work and are the 'back story' behind many of my designs. Some of my older journals are revised from the original, and most link to photo albums on Facebook.

AnyDay Hats at Beppa

"Peer through the window ... what do you see?
I see your reflection, smiling back at me!

Swing open the door, be welcome and enter!
We bet you'll find treasures both new and remembered... "

Dare to Imagine at AnyDay Hats!

AnyDay Hats returns to Beppa Studio for "Dare to Imagine": a show and sale of inspired seasonal headwear.  The show will kick off with a Gala reception on Friday, November 11 from 4-8 PM, and will continue its imaginative journey on Saturday from 10 AM - 4 PM.  Get your free invitation to the Friday Night Gala at Eventbrite.

AnyDay Hats is a twice yearly, curated show featuring Seattle-based artisan hatmakers and milliners, including Izzie LewisJean Hicks, Carol Campbell, Laura Clampitt, Belle McCluskey, Michale Crooks, and Heather Daveno.  Each one will bring their distinctive style of AnyDay Hats for you to try on and add to your wardrobe.

Beppa Studio is located in the historic 7700 Building, just north of Ballard, at 7700 6th Avenue NW, Seattle WA 98117.  This site is ADA accessible with plenty of free on-street parking. Beppa Studio is the home of the infamous Beppa vintage button and clothing sales. Gretchen and Rebecca are artists and collectors with a keen eye for textile art, repurposed art, and vintage buttons, to name a few. Their showroom makes it possible to present three clothing shows a year, as well as two button and vintage shows. And now, Seattle artisan hatmakers and their AnyDay Hats!
